With a major win and a record on the scoreboard, season 62 has been prolific for the team Lundar. The past season marks a peak in the team's results, with riders at their best. The activity was less sustained than in previous years, allowing the team to be better focused on sprint and hill races.
For the very first time in its history, the 3 best Icelandic riders are part of Lundar.
Sprint review

Sigsteinn Jóhannv was reappointed as captain for the sprint races, with the support of a solid and experienced train. The 31-year-old won Norway Tour's coveted Green Jersey, which was Lundar's number one goal this season. With 2 stage victories, Sigsteinn confirmed his good form this season.
However, the Tour of Perm was not a success and the results fell short of the team's hopes. However, it allowed to highlight the promising Gylfi Jansson, which reinforces his status as a promising Tour and sprint specialist.
The results obtained on the Kangaroo Tour in Australia are considered satisfactory, with a 3rd place in the general classification obtained by Jóhannv. Jansson was disappointing on this Tour, linked to a drop in form and a slight flu during this round.

Looking in the rearview mirror, the best years are beginning to be behind us. The priorities will be the renewal of the team, always with national talents. The task will be difficult, with a possible demotion in the lower divisions for the next seasons.
The driving forces and founders of the current team, like Ingi Lúðvíksson or Gunnhvatur Vifillsson, will soon be leaving the team, not without an ounce of nostalgia.
